Specify the Destination Network Example
4/8/2010
The following example shows how to specify the destination GUID for an access-point network. In this example, the network name is "Work Network." In the real XML, the {GUID} placeholder will be replaced with an actual GUID.
Code Example
<characteristic type="Wi-Fi">
<characteristic type="access-point">
<characteristic type="Work Network">
<parm name="DestId" value="{GUID}"/>
</characteristic>
</characteristic>
</characteristic>
Remarks
Wi-Fi connections to the Internet will fail if the GPRS connection is configured to use a proxy to the Internet.
One provisioning XML file typically contains configuration information for multiple Configuration Service Providers. To use this example, you must replace the values as appropriate, and add the node as a child of the OMA Client Provisioning file. For information about the syntax of this file, see OMA Client Provisioning Files. For examples, see OMA Client Provisioning XML File Examples.
