Product Sales Reports

You use the Reports Manager to run reports to analyze product sales data.

Buyer Browse to Purchase

Use the Buyer Browse to Purchase report to review user visits and purchasing patterns. This report shows the number of first-time and repeat buyers, and the average number of visits for each purchase per buyer. You can use information from this report to examine user retention rate.

The following table lists the measures and database columns that this report uses.

Measure

Description

Count Sales

The number of purchases made on the site during the report period.

Visit Count

The number of visits to the site during the report period. A visit is an arbitrary value, based on the time a user spends on a Web site. By default, a visit is 30 minutes.

Visitor Count

The number of unique users who visited the site during the report period.

Visits Per Buy

The average number of times that users visited the site for each purchase.

Buyer Type

The type of user who made a purchase. This can include first-time (users who only made one purchase), or repeat (users who have made more than one purchase).

Site

The site on which a user made a purchase.

Customer Sales

Use the Customer Sales report to see customer details, total sales, and total orders.

Orders

The number of completed orders for the site.

Sales

The total, including the purchase price, tax, and shipping paid for each order.

Description

Currency

The currency used for each purchase.

E-mail

The e-mail address for each user who made a purchase.

User Name

The name of each user who made a purchase.

User ID

The unique ID of each user who made a purchase.

Order Events

Use the Order Events report to review order submittal events, such as a user clicking the Checkout button to indicate that the order is completed. This report shows the number of submittal order events performed by registered and anonymous users each hour.

Trying to render the Order Events report from a locale different from where the Data Warehouse is configured will cause an error. The event report will render only when the locale of the client is the same as the local of the Data Warehouse.

The total number of purchase events for the site.

Description

DateHour

The year, quarter, day, and hour when a purchase event occurred.

EventName

The type of event that occurred (for example, a purchase event).

Hour of Day

The hour when a purchase event occurred.

Site

The name of the site on which a purchase was made.

User Type

The type of the user who made the purchase. Examples include a registered user or an anonymous user.

Product Sales

Use the Product Sales report to review product sales volume and revenue by date. This report shows the total revenue and quantity for the top-selling products.

The number of the item sold.

Revenue

The total of the sales of the item.

The date of each sale.

Site

The site on which the sale was made.

Product

The product ID.

Shopping Basket Events

Use the Shopping Basket Events report to review user behavior related to shopping basket activity. For each product displayed, the report shows the number of shopping basket events.

The number of shopping basket events that occurred during the report period.

Description

DateHour

The date and hour of each shopping basket event that occurred during the report period.

EventName

The type of shopping basket event that occurred (for example, add-to-basket or remove-from-basket events).

Product

The product ID.

Site

The site on which the shopping basket event occurred.
