How to Change a Filter in a Web Content Project

This topic provides steps for changing a filter in a Web content project. You change a filter in a staging project to modify the assets, such as files or directories that you want to include or exclude in the project.

To change a filter in a Web content project

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 , and then click Commerce Server Staging.

  2. In Microsoft Management Console (MMC), in the left pane, expand Commerce Server Staging, expand <server name>, and then click Projects.

  3. In the right pane, right-click the project that you want to change, and then click Properties.

  4. In the Project Properties dialog box, on the Filter tab, in the Project filter section, select the filter that you want to change, and then click Edit.

  5. In the Edit Filter dialog box, do the following:

    Include/Exclude

    Select Include from the drop-down list if you want to include additional files in the deployment, or select Exclude if you want to Exclude specific files from being deployed.

    File/Directory

    Select File from the drop-down list if you want to include or exclude files from the deployment, or select Directory if you want to include or exclude a directory from the deployment.

    Value

    Type the file name, file name extension, or directory that you want to include or exclude.

    Include subdirectories

    Select this option to include subdirectories in the filter.

    You can use an asterisk (*) as a valid wild-card character. CSS does not support other wild-card characters, such as the question mark (?) or period (.).

  6. Click OK.

  7. In the Project Properties dialog box, click OK.
