Removes a reference to a module.

<remove name="ModuleName"/>

Attributes

Attribute Description

name

Specifies the name under which the module was previously added using add.

The value must exactly match that of a previous add directive.

Parent Elements

Element Description

configuration

Specifies the required root element in every configuration file that is used by the common language runtime and the .NET Framework applications.

system.web

Specifies the root element for the ASP.NET configuration section.

httpModules

Configures the HTTP modules within an application.

Example

The following example demonstrates how to remove a module.
