How to: View and Download the Windows Communication Foundation Samples

The sample topics in this section contain options for viewing and copying sample source files, and for downloading sample projects to your computer. Samples are downloaded individually and specify a destination path for each sample. Samples are downloaded as self-extracting executables.

Each sample topic contains at least one source code selection box that lists all the sample files. There is one box for each programming language provided by the sample.

To view source files

• Select a source file and click the View Source button.

  The file displays in a new document window.

To copy source file code files

1. Select a source file and click the View Source button.

2. Click the Copy Code button.

   The content of the source file is copied to the Clipboard.

To download a sample

1. Click the Download button.

2. Click Open to start the download.

   To save the .exe file for extracting the files later, click Save.

3. Respond to the Security Warning.

4. Click Continue.

5. Specify a folder where the sample should be downloaded.

6. Click OK.

   The sample files are saved to a subfolder, by the sample name, under the folder you specified.
