Remarks

A target for this operation can be an activity or a queue item record.

When you pass an activity record that is associated with a queue, the rule created for the queue is applied. Otherwise, the rule created for the specified activity record is applied.

When incoming activities, such as emails, custom activities, and posts, from external integrated applications are added to a queue in CRM, a queue item record is created. If you specify a queue item record instead of an activity record as the target, the rule created for the specified queue and activity (determined by the queue item) will be applied.
