ICodecAPI::GetDefaultValue

The GetDefaultValue method retrieves the default value for a parameter, if one exists.

Syntax

  HRESULT GetDefaultValue(
  const GUID*  Api,
  VARIANT*  Value
);

Parameters

Api

[in]  Pointer to a GUID that specifies the parameter.

Value

[out]  Pointer to a VARIANT type that receives the default value.

Return Values

Returns an HRESULT value. Possible values include the following.

Value Description
S_OK Success.
VFW_E_CODECAPI_NO_DEFAULT The specified parameter does not have a default value.

Remarks

If there is no default value for the parameter, the method returns VFW_E_CODECAPI_NO_DEFAULT.

Header: Declared in Strmif.h; include Dshow.h.
