Sauvegarder SSO (Office SharePoint Server 2007)

Before you perform these procedures, ensure that:

Back up the SSO encryption key

ImportantImportant :

Membership in the Farm Administrators SharePoint group on the encryption-key server is the minimum required to complete the following procedures. Additionally, you must be a member of the db_backupoperator fixed database role for the SSO database on the database server.

Back up the encryption key

  1. On the SharePoint Central Administration Web site, on the Operations page, in the Security Configuration section, click Manage settings for single sign-on.

  2. On the Manage Settings for Single Sign-On page, click Manage encryption key.

  3. On the Manage Encryption Key page, in the Encryption Key Backup section, select the removable storage device to which you want to back up the encryption key, and then click Back Up.

    The SharePoint Central Administration Web site does not display a confirmation message. You can confirm that the encryption key was backed up by opening the backup media and confirming that a file that is named “BaseKey.key” was created at the time, you clicked Back Up.

Back up SSO by using Central Administration

Use the following procedure to back up SSO by using the SharePoint Central Administration Web site. You should always do a full backup of the SSO database.

NoteRemarque :

Using this procedure does not back up the encryption key. To back up the encryption key you must use the “Back up the encryption key” procedure earlier in this topic.

Back up SSO by using Central Administration

  1. On the SharePoint Central Administration Web site, on the Operations page, in the Backup and Restore section, click Perform a backup.

  2. On the Select Component to Backup page, select SSO from the list of components, and then click Continue to Backup Options.

  3. On the Select Backup Options page, in the Type of Backup section, select the Full backup type. You should always do a full backup of the SSO database.

  4. In the Backup File Location section, in the Backup location text box, type the Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path of the backup folder.

  5. Click OK to start the backup process.

  6. You can view the backup job status on the Backup and Restore Status page by clicking Refresh. The page also updates every 30 seconds automatically. Backup is a Timer service job so that it may take several seconds for the backup to start.

    If you receive any errors, review the spbackup.log in the folder that you specified in step 4.

Back up SSO by using the Stsadm command-line tool

Use the following procedure to back up SSO by using the Stsadm command-line tool.

CautionAttention :

You cannot back up the encryption key by using the Stsadm command-line tool. You must use the Central Administration Web site. Before you use this procedure to back up SSO, use the “Back up the encryption key” procedure earlier in this article to back up the encryption key. You should always do a full backup of the SSO database.

ImportantImportant :

To run the Stsadm command-line tool, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the local computer.

Back up SSO by using the Stsadm command-line tool

  1. On the drive on which SharePoint Products and Technologies is installed, change to the following directory: %COMMONPROGRAMFILES%\Microsoft shared\Web server extensions\12\Bin.

  2. Type the following command, and then press ENTER:

    stsadm -o backup -directory <\\server name\folder name> -item SSO -backupmethod full

    where \\server name\folder name is the UNC path of the backup folder.

  3. If the backup is completed successfully, the command prompt window displays the following text:

    Completed with 0 warnings.
    Completed with 0 errors.
    Backup completed successfully.
    ---------------------------------------------------------
    Operation completed successfully.
    
  4. If there are errors or warnings, or if the backup is not completed successfully, review the spbackup.log file in the folder that you specified in step 2.
