What's New for Modeling Tools in Visual Studio 2013

Visual Studio Ultimate supports these new tasks to help you understand complex or unfamiliar code:

Code maps appear next to the editor so you can easily see your place in the code while you work. You can also use code maps to navigate around your code.

With Visual Studio 2013 Update 2 or later and Team Foundation Server 2013 Update 2 or later, you can also:

  • Get color-coded relationships on code maps.

  • Find changes to your code without leaving the editor when you're using Git for source control. If your Git repository is hosted in TfGit, you can also find links to TFS work items, whether on-premises or in Visual Studio Online.
