What's New

Microsoft Windows Media Services is now more scalable, reliable, and customizable. The newest version of the Windows Media Services SDK incorporates the following changes.

  • A new object model improves your ability to programmatically control, configure, and monitor a Windows Media server.

  • More plug-in types have been added, and you can customize more server functionality by creating your own plug-ins.

  • Server-side playlists give you more control over the content streamed by the server.

  • Publishing point functionality has been expanded.

  • Event access has been redesigned, and the number of available events has been increased.
