Using the BIB and REG Editor to Edit a Registry File (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

You can use the BIB and REG Editor to open, view, and modify registry (.reg) files in Platform Builder for Windows Embedded CE 6.0.

Editing a BIB or REG File

  1. Make sure that you have created or opened an OS design.

    For information about creating an OS design, see Creating an OS Design.

    For information about opening an OS design, see Opening an OS Design.

  2. In the Solution Explorer, navigate to the .reg file that you want to open, and then perform one of the following actions.

    Select the file and then, from the context menu, select Open.

    - or -

    Double-click on the selected file.

  3. By default, Platform Builder displays the contents in the graphical RegEdit format. If you want to change the displayed style to a text format, in the REG Editor, choose Source.

  4. After you have modified the contents of the file, you can save your changes by, from the File menu, selecting Save <File>.
