Creating an OS Design for an Image with Multiple XIP Regions (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

The following procedure explains how to create an OS run time image for multiple execute-in-place (XIP) regions.

To create a base OS design for a run time image with multiple XIP regions

  1. In Platform Builder, on the File menu, choose New, and then choose Project.

  2. Choose Platform Builder for CE 6.0, and then choose OS Design.

  3. In the Name box, type a name for your OS design, and then choose OK.

  4. Choose Next. In the Available BSPs list, select CEPC: x86, and then choose Next.

  5. In the list of design templates, choose PDA Device, and then choose Next.

  6. In the list of design template variants, choose Mobile Handheld, and then choose Next.

  7. On the Applications_Media and Networking_Communications pages, choose Next.

  8. Choose Finish.

  9. Read the security warnings, and then choose Acknowledge.
