ldap_close_extended_op (Compact 2013)

3/26/2014

This function ends a request that was made by a call to the ldap_extended_operation function.

Syntax

ULONG ldap_close_extended_op(
  LDAP* ld,
  ULONG MessageNumber
);

Parameters

  • ld
    [in] Session handle.
  • MessageNumber
    [out] Message identifier for the request.

Return Value

If this function succeeds, the return value is LDAP_SUCCESS.

If this function fails, it returns an error code. See the LDAP_RETCODE enumeration for a list of possible return values.

Remarks

After sending an extended request, or a series of such requests, to an LDAP server, call this function to let the server know that the client has finished making requests. The extended operation functions allow a client to send a free-for-all request, for any sort of information or action, to an LDAP 3 server.

In a multithreading environment, calls to this function are thread-safe.
