The following table shows the serial communications structures with a description of the purpose of each.

Structure	Description
COMMPROP	Used by the GetCommProperties function to return specific communication support driver data.
COMMTIMEOUTS	Used in the SetCommTimeouts and GetCommTimeouts functions to set and query the timeout parameters for a communication device.
COMSTAT	Contains communication device data.
DCB	Defines the control setting for a serial communications device.
