You can create multiple partitions in a storage volume.

To partition a storage volume:

  1. Open the storage volume, using OpenStore.

  2. Dismount all file systems on the store, using DismountStore.

  3. Format the store, using FormatStore.

  4. Create the desired number of partitions on the store, using CreatePartition.

  5. If the AutoFormat registry value is not set, format the partition, using FormatPartition. For more information, see Storage Manager Registry Settings.
