Uniscribe Registry Settings (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

1/6/2010

To create a run–time image that targets locales that supports both Complex Scripts support and non–Complex Scripts locales, you can include a registry setting in your run–time image that enables users to enable or disable Complex Scripts support on a device.

Note

Changing this registry setting requires that the target device support soft reset.

The following table shows the named values for the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\Uniscribe registry key.

Value : type Description

DisableUniscribe : REG_DWORD

If this value is set to 0, Uniscribe is enabled. If this value is set to 1, Uniscribe is disabled. If this value is not present or not set on the device, Uniscribe is enabled by default.
