Printing Saved Data Files (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)
1/6/2010
After you have created and saved .rtfxdata files, you might want to print the contents of the files for later use. For information about saving data, see Saving Data Displayed in the Remote Tools Shell.
The Remote Tools Shell does not offer a way to directly print data from the shell, but you can use one of several methods to parse the contents of an .rtfxdata file because it uses XML file format. For information about .rtfxdata files, see Data in the Remote Tools Shell.
To prepare an .rtfxdata file for printing
To prepare an .rtfxdata file for printing, use one of the following methods.
- Use an XML parser to parse the contents of the file and then render it in a custom program.
- Use tools such as XSLT to convert the .rtfxdata file to HTML for printing.
- Display the data in an XML editor or a browser, and then use the print functionality of that program to print the data.
