Working with Locales (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

Both desktop-side files and device-side-files can be associated with one or more locales, or be locale-independent.

Use the following procedures to make the desired associations.

How to associate a desktop-side file with one or more locales

  1. Make sure that at least one locale is selected on the Locales panel.

  2. On the Desktop panel, select a file component.

  3. To select the location for this localized file, double-click the path in the Paths in <Component name> box.

How to make a desktop-side file locale-independent

  1. On the Desktop panel, select a file component.

  2. Select the Locale independent check box.

How to associate a device-side file with a locale

  1. Make sure that one or more locales are selected on the Locales panel.

  2. On the Device Packages panel, select the desired file component.

  3. Make sure the Locale independent check box is cleared.

  4. To select the location for the localized files, double-click the path in the Paths in <Component name> box.

  2. Select the Locale independent check box.
