Configuring Search Locations for Plug-ins (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

You can modify the list of directories in which the Plug-in Explorer searches for plug-ins to display by adding or removing directories, or reconfiguring the order in which the directories are searched. To do one or more of these tasks, perform one or more of the following actions.

To add a directory to the list of locations to search for plug-ins

  1. In the main tool window, from the Tools menu, select Options.

    The Remote Tools Framework Options dialog box appears.

  2. To add a new directory to the list of directories that the Remote Tools Shell searches for plug-ins to display, choose Add.

    The Browse for Folder dialog box appears.

  3. Navigate to a directory that you want to add to the list, and then choose OK.

    The directory is added to the Plug-in Explorer search directories list in the Remote Tools Framework Options dialog box.

  4. To save your changes and close the Remote Tools Framework Options dialog box, choose OK.

To remove a directory from the list of locations to search for plug-ins

  1. In the main tool window, from the Tools menu, select Options.

    The Remote Tools Framework Options dialog box appears.

  2. To add a new directory to the list of directories that the Remote Tools Shell searches for plug-ins to display, choose Remove.

    A dialog box requesting confirmation appears.

  3. To confirm that you want to remove the directory from the list, choose Yes. Otherwise, choose No.

  4. To save your changes and close the Remote Tools Framework Options dialog box, choose OK.

To change the order of the list of locations to search for plug-ins

  1. In the main tool window, from the Tools menu, select Options.

    The Remote Tools Framework Options dialog box appears.

  2. In the Plug-in Explorer search directories list, select the directory that you want to move up or down in the search order, and then choose Move Up or Move Down.

  3. To save your changes and close the Remote Tools Framework Options dialog box, choose OK.
