Configure Scripts Dialog Box (Compact 7)

In the Configure Scripts dialog box, you can create, delete, and modify scripts. You can run scripts that you have created and edit the source for a script.

User Interface Elements

  • Script
    Provides user interface elements for creation, deletion, and renaming of scripts.

    In the list box, you can select existing scripts.

  • Display Name
    Specifies the name of the script. To rename the script, type a new name.
  • New
    Creates a new script.
  • Delete
    Deletes the script selected in the list box.
  • Shortcuts
    Opens the Configure Script Shortcuts dialog box, in which you can add or remove shortcuts for existing scripts.

  • Steps
    Modifies the steps in the selected script. To select a step, click a row in this area.
  • Command
    Displays the script commands according to the sequence of steps.
  • Parameter
    Displays the parameters or arguments for the commands in the Command column.
  • Move Up
    Moves the step earlier in the sequence.
  • Move Down
    Moves the step later in the sequence.
  • Add
    Adds a step below the selected step, or adds a step to the end if no step is selected.

    Opens the Edit Script Step dialog box. For more information, see Edit Script Step Dialog Box.

  • Remove
    Removes the selected step.
  • Run
    Runs the script immediately in the Scripts window.
  • Source
    Opens the Script Source dialog box, in which you can edit the source for a script directly. For more information, see Script Source Dialog Box.
  • Save
    Saves the script.
  • Save As
    Saves the script as a new file.
  • Close
    Closes the Configure Scripts dialog box.
