Short Message Service Provider Catalog Items and Sysgen Variables (Compact 2013)

In Windows Embedded Compact, you can add support for Short Message Service (SMS) providers, which route SMS messages to the appropriate application for each type of SMS message.

Hardware and Software Requirements
- Requires a cellular radio on the hardware board.
- Requires RIL Proxy (SYSGEN_CELLCORE_RIL) and SIM Manager (SYSGEN_CELLCORE_SIM). For more information, see SIM Manager Catalog Items and Sysgen Variables.
- For vCards, XML provisioning data, or WDP provider, also requires WAP (SYSGEN_CELLCORE_WAP). For more information, see WAP Catalog Items and Sysgen Variables.
