This section defines the XML schema elements that are used by Native WiFi profiles.

  • allowList Element
    Specifies the list of wireless LAN networks to which any machine must be able to connect
  • authMode Element
    Specifies the type of credentials that are used for authentication
  • authPeriod Element
    Specifies the maximum length of time, in seconds, in which a client waits for a response from the authenticator
  • autoSwitch Element
    Determines the roaming behavior of an auto-connected network when a more preferred network is in range
  • blockList Element
    Defines the list of wireless LAN networks to which a machine must not connect
  • enableAutoConfig Element
    Specifies whether machines use the built-in automatic configuration (AutoConfig) service to manage wireless connections
  • encryption Element
    Specifies the type of data encryption to use to connect to a wireless LAN
  • FIPSMode Element
    Indicates whether Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) mode is enabled
  • heldPeriod Element
    Specifies the length of time, in seconds, in which a client will not retry authentication after a failed authentication attempt
  • hex Element
    Contains the SSID of a wireless LAN in hexadecimal format
  • IHV Element
    Contains various settings for independent hardware vendors
  • keyIndex Element
    Specifies which key index should be used to encrypt wireless traffic
  • keyType Element
    Indicates whether the shared key will be a network key or a pass phrase
  • maxDelay Element
    Specifies, in seconds, the maximum delay before the single sign on connection attempt fails
  • OneX Element
    Specifies 802.1X configuration information for a wired or wireless LAN profile
  • OneXEnabled Element
    Specifies whether the automatic configuration service for wired networks will attempt port authentication by using 802.1X
  • OneXEnforced Element
    Specifies whether the automatic configuration service for wired networks requires 802.1X for port authentication
  • OUI Element
    Contains a 3 byte hexBinary that identifies the IHV
  • phyType Element
    Specifies the 802.11 wireless LAN standard used on a wireless LAN
  • startPeriod Element
    Specifies the length of time, in seconds, to wait before an EAPOL-Start is sent
  • type (OUIHeader) Element
    Contains a 1-byte hexBinary that is used to differentiate between network adapters that are manufactured by the same IHV
  • useMSOneX Element
    Specifies the origin of 802.1X security settings that are used by an IHV security component
