Discontinued BSPs

The NEC DDB-Vrc5476 (Boston) hardware and standard development board (SDB) and the Intel SA1110/SA1111 (Assabet) development kit are no longer available for purchase. Therefore, the board support packages (BSPs) for these two hardware platforms are not included in Platform Builder 4.2 and their use is deprecated.

If your development platform requires the Assabet hardware and the BSP platform directory for testing or other purposes, you can use the BSP for the Intel XScale DBPXA250 Development Platform, which has been enabled to support ARMV4 builds, or a BSP from a third-party vendor. For more information on how to use this BSP, see How to Use the BSP for the Intel XScale DBPXA250 Development Platform. Platform Builder 4.2 still supports the Assabet CSP drivers for the integrated peripherals on the SA1100 CPU or the SA1111 CPU companion chip. These drivers are located in the %WINCEROOT%\public\common\csp directory.

If your development platform requires the Boston hardware and BSP, you can use the NEC Solution Gear 2 Series Development Kit that is included in Platform Builder 4.2, or a BSP from a third-party vendor. For more information on how to use this BSP, see How to Use the BSP for the NEC Solution Gear 2 Series Development Kit.
