GweBypassCoredllThunk_t::BringWindowToTop_I

This method brings the specified window to the top of the z-order. If the window is a top-level window, it is activated. If the window is a child window, the top-level parent window associated with the child window is activated.

static BOOL WINAPI BringWindowToTop_I(
  HWND hwndThis
);

Parameters

  • hwndThis
    [in] Handle to the window to bring to the top of the z-order.

Return Values

Nonzero indicates success. Zero indicates failure. To get extended error information, call GetLastError.

Remarks

This method is an internal version of the BringWindowToTop function.

Use the GweBypassCoredllThunk_t::BringWindowToTop_I method to uncover any window that is partially or completely obscured by other windows.

Calling this function is similar to calling the GweBypassCoredllThunk_t::SetWindowPos_I method to change the position of a window in the z-order. GweBypassCoredllThunk_t::BringWindowToTop_I does not make a window a top-level window.

If an application is not in the foreground and wants to be in the foreground, the application should call the SetForegroundWindow function.

Requirements

OS Versions: Windows CE .NET 4.0 and later.
Header: GweBypassCoredllThunk.hpp.
