Configuring a Kernel Transport

After choosing a kernel transport, configure it as necessary.

To choose and configure a kernel transport

  1. From the Target menu, choose Configure Remote Connection.

  2. In the Kernel Transport box, choose a kernel transport.

For information about each kernel transport, see Emulator Kernel Transport, Ethernet Kernel Transport, and Serial Kernel Transport.

  3. Choose the Configure button that is adjacent to the Kernel Transport box.

The collection of settings that you can configure varies by kernel transport. Some kernel transports do not require configuration, and some do not have settings you can modify.
