IOCTL_CDROM_GET_SENSE_DATA

This IOCTL retrieves CD-ROM sense information and fills the CD_SENSE_DATA structure. The DeviceIoControl function calls this IOCTL.

Parameters

  • dwIoControlCode
    [in] Set to IOCTL_CDROM_GET_SENSE_DATA to retrieve CD-ROM sense information and fill the CD_SENSE_DATA structure.
  • lpInBuf
    [in] Set to NULL.
  • nInBufSize
    [in] Set to zero.
  • lpOutBuf
    [in, out] On input, set to the address of an allocated CD_SENSE_DATA structure. On output, a filled CD_SENSE_DATA structure.
  • nOutBufSize
    [in] Set to the size of the CD_SENSE_DATA.
  • lpBytesReturned
    [in, out] On input, address of a DWORD that receives the size in bytes of the data returned. On output, set to the number of bytes written to the supplied buffer.

Return Values

If the function succeeds, the return value is nonzero.

If the function fails, the return value is zero. To obtain extended error information, call GetLastError.

Remarks

This IOCTL is from the Small Computer System InterfaceSpecification.
