IOCTL_CDROM_ISSUE_INQUIRY

This IOCTL retrieves information used in the INQUIRY_DATA structure. The DeviceIoControl function calls this IOCTL.

Parameters

  • dwIoControlCode
    [in] Set to IOCTL_CDROM_ISSUE_INQUIRY to retrieve information and fill the INQUIRY_DATA structure.
  • lpInBuf
    [in] Set to NULL.
  • nInBufSize
    [in] Set to zero.
  • lpOutBuf
    [in, out] On input, set to the address of an allocated INQUIRY_DATA structure. On output, a filled INQUIRY_DATA structure.
  • nOutBufSize
    [in] Set to the size of the INQUIRY_DATA.
  • lpBytesReturned
    [in, out] On input, address of a DWORD that receives the size in bytes of the data returned. On output, set to the number of bytes written to the supplied buffer.

Return Values

If the function succeeds, the return value is nonzero.

If the function fails, the return value is zero. To obtain extended error information, call GetLastError.

Remarks

This IOCTL is from the Small Computer System InterfaceSpecification.
