IPMPlatformManager::AddPlatform

This method registers a new platform object with Platform Manager and returns this object.

HRESULT AddPlatform(
  BSTR bstrPlatformName,
  BSTR bstrPlatformId,
  IPMPlatform** ppiPlatform 
);

Parameters

  • bstrPlatformName
    [in] Name of the platform object to be added.
  • bstrPlatformId
    [in] Optional; GUID of the platform object to be added. If this parameter is not specified, Platform Manager creates a GUID for the platform object.
  • ppiPlatform
    [out] Pointer to a pointer to the IPMPlatform interface. This pointer is returned if the platform has been successfully registered with Platform Manager.

Return Values

Returns S_OK if the call was successfully completed. If a failure occurs, the appropriate HRESULT value is returned.

Requirements

OS Versions: Windows CE .NET 4.0 and later.
Header: Platman.h, Cemgr.idl.
