Init method

Obsolete. Used by the host to control player lifetime.

Syntax

HRESULT retVal = object.Init(mpsite);

Parameters

• mpsite
  Type: ITIMEMediaPlayerSite

  The pointer you can use to get the ITIMEMediaPlayerSite interface.

Return value

Type: HRESULT

If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.

Remarks

This method is only relevant for people who are writing a custom player for HTML+TIME (Timed Interactive Multimedia Extensions).

Custom media players for HTML+TIME are no longer supported as of Windows Internet Explorer 7.
