There are several known version-related issues addressed by the Compatibility Administrator using compatibility fixes and compatibility modes.

Fix Name	Symptom	Fix Description
Win95VersionLie	The application requests that you install Windows 95.	Modifies the `GetVersion` and `GetVersionEx` functions so that they return the version information for the Microsoft Windows®°95 operating system.
Win98VersionLie	The application requests that you install the Microsoft Windows®°98 operating system.	Modifies the `GetVersion` and `GetVersionEx` functions so that they return the version information for Windows 98.
WinNT4SP5VersionLie	The application requests that you install the Microsoft Windows°NT® Server°4.0 operating system with Service Pack 5 (SP5).	Modifies the `GetVersion` and `GetVersionEx` functions so that they return the version information for Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 5 (SP5).
WinXPSp1VersionLie	The application requests that you install the Windows® XP operating system with Service Pack 1 (SP1).	Modifies the `GetVersion` and `GetVersionEx` functions so that they return the version information for Windows XP with SP1.
Win2000VersionLie	The application requests that you install Windows 2000.	Modifies the `GetVersion` and `GetVersionEx` functions so that they return the version information for the Microsoft Windows®°2000 Server operating system.
Win2000SP1VersionLie	The application requests that you install Windows 2000 with Service Pack 1 (SP1).	Modifies the `GetVersion` and `GetVersionEx` functions so that they return the version information for Windows 2000 with Service Pack 1 (SP1).
Win2000VersionLie	The application requests that you install a previous version of DirectX.	Modifies the `GetVersion` and `GetVersionEx` functions so that they return the version information for Windows 2000.
WinNT4SP5VersionLie	The application requests that you install a previous version of DirectX.	Modifies the `GetVersion` and `GetVersionEx` functions so that they return the version information for Windows NT 4.0 with SP5.
Win2000SP1VersionLie	The application requests that you install a previous version of DirectX.	Modifies the `GetVersion` and `GetVersionEx` functions so that they return the version information for Windows 2000 with SP1.
Win95VersionLie	The application states that it will not function on a computer running the Windows 95 operating system.	Modifies the `GetVersion` and `GetVersionEx` functions so that they return the version information for Windows 95.
Win98VersionLie	The application states that it will not function on a computer running the Windows 98 operating system.	Modifies the `GetVersion` and `GetVersionEx` functions so that they return the version information for Windows 98.
