Applies To: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2
Note
This content applies to Windows 7. For Windows 8 content, see Windows Deployment with the Windows ADK.
Customize your Windows® image by adding applications, device drivers, packages, and other files and folders to your distribution share. These files and folders can be captured in a configuration set for deployment.
You can add applications, out-of-box drivers (also called third-party drivers), and other files and folders directly to the folders: $OEM$ Folders or Out-of-Box Drivers by using Windows Explorer.
Language Packs and Packages must be added by using the Package(s) option on the Insert menu. For more information, see Add Packages to a Distribution Share.
