ACS/RSVP Interfaces Object
Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2
ACS/RSVP Interfaces performance object counters report statistics about Resource Reservation Protocol (RSVP) activity, flow, bandwidth, RSVP messages sent, and so on for a specific interface or IP address. The ACS/RSVP Interfaces object is available if QoS Admission Control Service (QoS ACS) or RSVP is running and there is one object for each IP address on the system.
Counter Name | Description | Counter Type |
---|---|---|
Admitted Bandwidth |
Shows the total admitted bandwidth on this interface, in bits per second. |
Blocked RESVs |
Shows the number of blockaded reservations that failed due to failed reservations that have not been removed from this node. For more information about blockade states, see RFC 2205. |
General Failures |
Shows the total number of non-admission control errors that have occurred on this interface. For more information about other traffic control failures, see RFC 2205. |
Maximum Admitted Bandwidth |
Shows the highest amount of allocated bandwidth admitted on the interface during the period in which QoS ACS or RSVP has been running. |
Number of Active Flows |
Shows the number of reserved flows that were installed and maintained by RSVP on this interface. |
Number of Incoming Messages Dropped |
Shows the number of incoming or received messages that were dropped due to syntax errors, protocol violations, and other errors. |
Number of Outgoing Messages Dropped |
Shows the number of outgoing messages that were dropped due to errors while sending. |
PATH ERR Messages Received |
Shows the total number of PATH ERR messages that were received on this interface. This number indicates the number of times that a PATH has been rejected by a remote host. |
PATH ERR Messages Sent |
Shows the total number of PATH ERR rejection messages that were sent by the QoS ACS or RSVP service. The PATH error messages indicate an error in response to the PATH message. |
PATH Messages Received |
Shows the total number of PATH messages that have been received on this interface. |
PATH Messages Sent |
Shows the total number of PATH messages that were sent by the QoS ACS or RSVP service on this the interface. |
PATH State Block Timeouts |
Shows the total number of times that the RSVP PATH state timed out. This happens when no PATH messages were received within the designated timeout period. This error message can be caused by a route change. |
PATH TEAR Messages Received |
Shows the total number of PATH TEAR messages that have been received on the interface. A PATH TEAR message removes the PATH state along the route and in this host. |
PATH TEAR Messages Sent |
Shows the total number of PATH TEAR messages that were sent on the interface to tear down an RSVP PATH state in the network. |
Policy Control Failures |
Shows the total number of RSVP requests that were not admitted on this interface due to a conflict with policy settings. |
Receive Messages Errors - Big Messages |
Shows the total number of incoming RSVP messages that were dropped because they were bigger than the maximum configured RSVP message size. |
Receive Messages Errors - No Memory |
Shows the total number of incoming RSVP messages that were dropped due to insufficient memory. |
Resource Control Failures |
Shows the number of reservations that failed due to the lack of resources. |
RESV CONFIRM Messages Received |
Shows the total number of RESV CONFIRM messages that have been received on this interface. |
RESV CONFIRM Messages Sent |
Shows the total number of RESV CONFIRM messages that were sent on this interface in response to RESV messages that were sent by remote hosts. |
RESV ERR Messages Received |
Shows the total number of RESV ERR messages that were received on this interface by the QoS ACS or RSVP service, rejecting incoming RESV messages. An RESV ERR message indicates an error in response to the RESV. |
RESV ERR Messages Sent |
Shows the total number of RESV errors that were sent on this interface. This number indicates how many reservations have been rejected by the network. |
RESV Messages Received |
Shows the total number of RESV messages that have been received on this interface. |
RESV Messages Sent |
Shows the total number of RESV messages that were sent by the ACS/RSVP service on this the interface. |
RESV State Block Timeouts |
Shows the total number of times that the RSVP RESV state timed out. This happens when no RESV messages are received within the designated timeout period. This error message can be caused by a route change. |
RESV TEAR Messages Received |
Shows the total number of RESV TEAR messages that have been received on the interface. An RESV TEAR message removes the reservation along the route and in this host. |
RESV TEAR Messages Sent |
Shows the total number of RESV TEAR messages that were sent on the interface to tear down an RESV state in the network. |
Send Messages Errors - Big Messages |
Shows the total number of outgoing RSVP messages that were dropped because they were bigger than the maximum configured RSVP message size. |
Send Messages Errors - No Memory |
Shows the total number of outgoing RSVP messages that were dropped due to insufficient memory. |
Signaling Bytes Received |
Shows the total, in bytes, of the RSVP signaling traffic that has been received by the ACS/RSVP service on this interface. |
Signaling Bytes Sent |
Shows the total, in bytes, of RSVP signaling traffic that was sent by the ACS/RSVP service on this interface. |
