Providing for client security
To allow clients to protect themselves from potentially untrustworthy servers, some properties of the Remote Desktop Web Connection ActiveX component object are restricted to certain Internet Explorer security zones. This means that when a Web user accesses the page from a computer in a less secure zone, these properties are disabled.
Some of these restricted properties are:
- StartProgram Specifies a program to start upon connection.
- WorkDir Specifies the working directory for the program specified in StartProgram.
- FullScreen Specifies whether the connection will be displayed as full screen or windowed mode.
Servers using Remote Desktop Web Connection can display these restricted properties in the following Internet Explorer security zones:
My Computer
Local Intranet
Trusted Sites
Servers using Remote Desktop Web Connection cannot display restricted these properties in the following zones:
Internet
Restricted Sites
