Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To pause or resume printing all documents

To pause, or resume printing on the printer, you must have the Manage Printers permission, which is one of several printer permissions.

  1. Open Printers and Faxes.

  2. Right-click the printer for which you want to pause or resume printing, and then click Pause Printing.

When you pause printing, the document currently printing will finish, and then no documents will print until you resume printing.

A check mark appears next to Pause Printing when the printer is paused. To clear the check mark and resume printing, click Pause Printing again.
