HcCompressionBufferSize Metabase Property
Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 with SP1
The HcCompressionBufferSize property specifies the size of the compression buffer (in bytes) that IIS uses for receiving compressed data. This buffer is used for on-demand compression of static content, as well as dynamic content compression. A larger buffer yields slightly faster compression performance, but at the cost of using additional memory.
The size limit specified by HcCompressionBufferSize is used by IIS, only if either HcDoOnDemandCompression Metabase Property or HcDoDynamicCompression Metabase Property are set to true. The maximum allowable size of the compression buffer is 1,048,576 bytes (1 MB).
The World Wide Web Publishing Service (WWW service) must be restarted before changes to this property take effect.
