LogCustomPropertyID Metabase Property

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 with SP1

The LogCustomPropertyID property specifies the ABO Metabase identifier of the metabase property that determines if logging is enabled or disabled for the logging field in question. Consult the metabase property reference page, to obtain the ABO Metabase identifier for a particular property.

For instance, the ABO Metabase identifier for LogExtFileFlags Metabase Property is MD_LOGEXT_FIELD_MASK, and the ID number is 4013.

When a logging module is called to log custom information fields, the logging module accesses the property specified by LogCustomPropertyID, and checks the individual flag bits, specified by LogCustomPropertyMask Metabase Property, to determine if that particular field is currently enabled or disabled.

For more information about custom logging fields, see "Setting Metabase Properties for Logging" in the Platform SDK.
