Match a form to a printer tray

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To match a form to a printer tray

Many printers have upper and lower trays that contain different sizes of paper. Matching a form to a source ensures that documents always print on the correct paper size when the form is selected from within a program. To make these changes, you must have the Manage Printers permission, which is one of several printer permissions. For more information, click Related Topics.

  1. Open Printers and Faxes.

  2. Right-click the icon for the printer you are using, and then click properties.

  3. On the Device Settings tab, under Form To Tray Assignment, click a printer tray.

  4. Click one of the available paper sizes for the selected tray.

  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each paper source.

Note

  • To open Printers and Faxes, click Start, and then click Printers and Faxes.
