Configuring Custom Controls (IIS 7)

Web custom controls are compiled components that run on the server and that encapsulate user-interface and other related functionality into reusable packages. In IIS 7, you can specify the tag prefix and namespace mapping for a custom control that can be used in multiple pages in an application.
