Copy modem properties to modems on multiple ports

You can use this procedure to quickly duplicate changes to modem properties from one modem to modems on other ports. This procedure works across brands and models.

Membership in the local Administrators group, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure.

To copy modem properties to modems on multiple ports

  1. Click Start, click All Programs, and then click Accessories.

  2. Right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

  3. At the command prompt, type telephon.cpl

  4. On the Modems tab, right-click the modem with the properties you want to copy.

  5. Click Copy properties.

  6. Right-click the modem to which you want to copy the properties, and then click Apply properties.
