Source: | Microsoft-Windows-PrintBRM |
Version: | 6.0 |
Symbolic Name: | MSG_PRINTSHARE_ERROR |

Resolve
Install the Print Services role or share a printer
To resolve this issue, perform one of the following two tasks to install the Print Services role or share a printer on the destination server:
- On a computer running Windows Server 2008, open Server Manager and then use the Add Roles Wizard to install the Print Services role. This installs the Print Management snap-in and configures the server to be a print server.
- On a computer running another version of Windows, open the Printers folder in Control Panel, and then use the Add Printers Wizard to add a printer, if necessary. Then share the printer on the network.
After resolving the problem, retry importing or exporting printers.
Verify
To verify that print migration is functioning properly, perform the following actions:
- Try printing to each affected printer. All documents should print properly.
- If the printers were not imported or exported successfully, retry importing or exporting the printers and then verify that the Printer Migration Wizard reports the following outcome: "The operation completed with no errors."
