On the View menu, click Show Services Node.
In the console tree, right-click MsmqServices.
Where?
- Active Directory Sites and Services/Services/MsmqServices.
Click New Foreign Site.
In the New Object - Foreign Site dialog box, type a name for the new site under Foreign site name.
Additional considerations
A routing link defines the route for connectivity between any two sites, including a foreign site and a non-foreign site. A site gate is a Message Queuing server that is configured to route messages between sites on behalf of other clients. To provide connectivity to a foreign site, you must perform the following task:
Create a routing link between the foreign site and a Server family site that contains a Message Queuing server running a connector application. For more information, see Create Routing Links.
Define this Message Queuing server as a site gate for the routing link. For more information, see Change the Site Gates for a Routing Link.
Open Active Directory Users and Computers.
On the View menu, click Users, Groups, and Computers as containers, and then click Advanced Features.
In the console tree, right-click the msmq object of the computer running the connector application.
Click Properties.
On the Sites page, select the foreign site under All sites, and then click Add to add this site to the list of sites where this server resides and to add it to the foreign site.
To delete a foreign site, in the Active Directory Sites and Services console tree, right-click the name of the foreign site under Sites, and then click Delete. Before deleting a foreign site, you may need to refresh the list of sites. To do this, right-click Sites, and then click Refresh.
