Publish Certificates to the File System

The following procedure can be used to publish issued certificates to the file system.
To request a certificate and have it published to the file system, certificate requestors must include a certfile:true attribute in their request. After the certificate is issued, it is copied to FileName.cer, where FileName is the request ID of the certificate request.
The file is copied to the CertEnroll folder on the certification authority (CA).
Note
You cannot use this method to overwrite files.
You must be a CA administrator to complete this procedure. For more information, see Implement Role-Based Administration.
To publish certificates to the file system
Open the Certification Authority snap-in.
In the console tree, click the name of the CA.
On the Action menu, click Properties.
On the Exit Module tab, click Properties.
On the Publication Settings tab, select the Allow certificates to be published to the file system check box, and then click OK.
Stop and restart the CA.
