Resolve
Use required commands
You must specify either /i or /u <language> when running Lpksetup. For /i, you can specify * or <language>, which are optional — if you do not include them, the program will start and you can install through the user interface. For a list of the valid <language> specifications, see the Culture Name column on the NLS information page (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=86010).
The command-line syntax is:
lpksetup.exe {/i [* | <language>] | /u <language>} [/r] [/p <language_pack_path>] [/s] [/f]
For more information, see Lpksetup Command-Line Options (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=86011).
Verify
To verify that the language pack was successfully installed or removed:
- In Control Panel, click Change display language (located under the Clock, Language, and Region section).
- Verify the language is listed (or not listed) in the drop-down list.
Note: The drop-down list will only be visible if you have already installed a language pack or if your operating system supports Multilingual User Interface (MUI). MUI language packs can only be installed on Windows Vista Ultimate and Windows Vista Enterprise.
