Custom Tags for Outbound Rules Page

Use the Custom Tags for Outbound Rules page to specify groups of custom HTML tags and matching attributes that determine which parts of the HTML response content will be modified by outbound rules.

Note

This feature was introduced in version 2.0 of the URL Rewrite module for IIS 7.

UI Element List

The following tables describe the UI elements that are available in Features View and in the Actions pane.

Features View Elements

Element Name Description

Name

Specifies the name for a group of HTML tags.

Matching Attribute

Specifies the HTML attribute for each HTML tag.

Actions Pane Elements

Element Name Description

Add Group

Opens the New Custom Tags Collection Dialog Box, from which you can add a group of HTML tags and attributes for outbound rewrite rules.

Add Custom Tag

Opens the Add/Edit Custom Tag Dialog Box, from which you can add a custom HTML tag and matching attribute to a group of HTML tags.

Edit

Opens the Add/Edit Custom Tag Dialog Box, from which you can edit a custom HTML tag and its matching attribute in a group of HTML tags. This action is available only when a collection is selected from the list on the feature page.

Rename

Allows you to rename the selected group of HTML tags or a custom HTML tag. This action is available only when a group of HTML tags or a custom HTML tag is selected from the list on the feature page.

Remove

Removes the selected group of HTML tags or a custom HTML tag. This action is available only when a group of HTML tags or a custom HTML tag is selected from the list on the feature page.
