Event ID 1002 — User Assignment List Configuration

RemoteApp programs can be filtered by user account. When you add a new RemoteApp program by using RemoteApp Manager, you can create a user assignment list so that only certain user accounts can see the RemoteApp program.

Resolve

Rebuild the user assignment list on a RemoteApp program

If the user assigment is corrupt for a RemoteApp program, you must rebuild the user assignment list by using RemoteApp Manager.

To perform these procedures, you must have membership in the local Administrators group, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority.

To rebuild the user assignment list on a RemoteApp program:

  1. On the RD Session Host server, open RemoteApp Manager. To open RemoteApp Manager, click Start, point to Administrative Tools, point to Remote Desktop Services, and then click RemoteApp Manager.
  2. Under RemoteApp Programs, right-click the RemoteApp program listed in the event message text, and then click Properties.
  3. Click the User Assignment tab.
  4. After clicking the User Assignment tab, a message will appear asking if you want to rebuild the user assignment list.

Verify

To verify that the RemoteApp program has a valid user assignment list, you can open the RemoteApp program by using RD Web Access.

To open the RemoteApp program by using RD Web Access:

  1. On a client computer, click Start, click All Programs, and then click Internet Explorer.
  2. In the Internet Explorer address bar, type the fully qualified domain name of the RD Web Access server, and the press ENTER.
  3. In the Domain\user name box, type the domain and user account.
  4. In the Password box, type the password of the user account.
  5. Click RemoteApp Programs.
  6. Double-click the RemoteApp program and verify that it opens successfully.
