About the Watch Folders Page

The following tables describe the UI elements that are available on the Watch Folders feature page and in the Actions pane.
Watch Folders Page Elements
Element name | Description |

Status |
Displays the watch folder status, such as whether it's enabled and started or whether it's disabled (with or without a configuration error). To view details about a watch folder that has a configuration error, click the watch folder name in the Watch Folders page, and then in the Actions pane, click Edit. Configuration error details can be viewed on the Messages tab in the watch folder property sheet. |
Name |
Displays the watch folder friendly name. |
Enabled |
Displays whether the watch folder is enabled (True) or disabled (False). |
Started |
Displays whether the watch folder is started (True) or not started (False). |
Path |
Displays the unique watch folder directory path. |
File Filter |
Displays the file filter that's applied to the watch folder. |
Job Template |
Displays the friendly name of the job template that's bound to the watch folder. |
Description |
Displays the watch folder description. |
Actions Pane Elements

Explore Watch Folder |
Opens the selected watch folder directory in Windows Explorer (the selected watch folder must be enabled to use this action). By default, the watch folder directory contains the following folders:

View Log Files |
Opens the watch folder Logs folder in Windows Explorer so that you can view the job instance and watch folder job manager log files. |
Manage Credentials |
Opens the Manage Credentials dialog box, in which you can add user accounts for watch folders to impersonate. |
Manage Schedulers |
Opens the Manage Schedulers dialog box, in which you can manage watch folder task schedulers. |
New |
Opens a watch folder property sheet, in which you can create a new watch folder. |
Edit |
Opens the property sheet for the selected watch folder, in which you can edit watch folder settings or view details about configuration errors that it might have. |
Delete |
Deletes the selected watch folder. |
Enable |
Enables the selected watch folder. Watch folders that are enabled will automatically start if the IIS Transform Manager Host service is restarted. This setting enables a watch folder to automatically start if the service or computer is restarted. |
Disable |
Disables the selected watch folder. |
Start |
Starts an enabled watch folder. |
Stop |
Stops an enabled watch folder. |
