Introduction
Les API de notifications d’état de socket dans le tableau ci-dessous vous fournissent un moyen évolutif et efficace d’obtenir des notifications sur les changements d’état de socket (efficaces en termes de processeur et de mémoire). Cela inclut des notifications sur des éléments tels que la lecture non bloquante, l’écriture non bloquante, les conditions d’erreur et d’autres informations.

Le workflow commence par l’association de sockets à un port d’achèvement d’E/S (ProcessSocketNotifications et SOCK_NOTIFY_REGISTRATION). Après cela, le port fournit des informations sur les changements d’état du socket à l’aide des méthodes de requête de port d’achèvement d’E/S habituelles.
Ces API permettent de construire facilement des abstractions indépendantes des plateformes. Par conséquent, les indicateurs persistants et one-shot, ainsi que les indicateurs déclenchés par le niveau et le bord sont pris en charge. Par exemple, les inscriptions déclenchées en une seule fois au niveau sont le modèle recommandé pour les serveurs multithread.

Ces API fournissent une alternative évolutive à WSAPoll et à certaines API.
Ils constituent une alternative aux E /S de sockets qui se chevauchent et qui sont utilisées avec les ports d’achèvement d’E/S, et ils évitent d’avoir besoin de mémoires tampons d’E/S permanentes par socket. Toutefois, dans un scénario où les mémoires tampons d’E/S par socket ne sont pas une considération importante (le nombre de sockets est relativement faible ou ils sont constamment utilisés), les E/S de socket qui se chevauchent peuvent avoir moins de surcharge en raison d’un nombre plus petit de transitions de noyau, ainsi que d’un modèle plus simple.
Un socket peut être associé à un seul port d’achèvement d’E/S. Un socket ne peut être inscrit avec un port d’achèvement d’E/S qu’une seule fois. Pour modifier les clés d’achèvement, annulez l’inscription de la notification, attendez le message SOCK_NOTIFY_EVENT_REMOVE (consultez les rubriques ProcessSocketNotifications et SocketNotificationRetrieveEvents ), puis réinscrivez le socket.
Pour éviter de libérer de la mémoire qui est toujours en cours d’utilisation, vous devez libérer les structures de données associées d’une inscription uniquement après avoir reçu la notification SOCK_NOTIFY_EVENT_REMOVE pour l’inscription. Lorsque le descripteur de socket utilisé pour s’inscrire aux notifications est fermé à l’aide de la fonction closesocket , ses notifications sont automatiquement annulées. Toutefois, les notifications déjà mises en file d’attente peuvent toujours être remises. Une désinscription automatique via closesocket ne génère pas de notification SOCK_NOTIFY_EVENT_REMOVE .
Si vous souhaitez un traitement multithread, vous devez utiliser un port d’achèvement d’E/S unique avec plusieurs threads de traitement des notifications. Cela permet au port d’achèvement des E/S d’effectuer un scale-out du travail sur plusieurs threads, si nécessaire. Évitez d’avoir plusieurs ports d’achèvement d’E/S (par exemple, un par thread), car cette conception est vulnérable au goulot d’étranglement sur un seul thread alors que d’autres sont inactifs.
Si plusieurs threads suppriment la file d’attente des paquets de notification avec des notifications déclenchées au niveau, SOCK_NOTIFY_TRIGGER_ONESHOT doivent être fournis pour éviter que plusieurs threads reçoivent des notifications pour un changement d’état. Une fois la notification de socket traitée, la notification doit être réinscrire.
Si plusieurs threads suppriment la file d’attente des paquets de notification sur une connexion orientée flux où des messages individuels doivent être traités sur un seul thread, envisagez d’utiliser des notifications one-shot déclenchées au niveau. Cela réduit la probabilité que plusieurs threads reçoivent des fragments de message qui doivent être réassemblons entre threads.
Si vous utilisez des notifications déclenchées en périphérie, nous vous déconseillons de recevoir des notifications en une seule fois, car le socket doit être vidé après l’activation des inscriptions. Il s’agit d’un modèle plus complexe à implémenter et plus coûteux, car il nécessite toujours un appel qui retourne WSAEWOULDBLOCK.
Si vous souhaitez un scale-out de l’acceptation de la connexion sur un seul socket d’écoute, les serveurs doivent utiliser la fonction AcceptEx au lieu de s’abonner aux notifications pour les demandes de connexion. L’acceptation de connexions en réponse aux notifications limite implicitement le taux d’acceptation des connexions par rapport au traitement des demandes pour les connexions existantes.

Serveur multithread
