Name Property

Gets or sets the name of the current instance.

Property Value

Type: System..::.String
The name of the current instance.

Exceptions

Exception Condition
ArgumentException

The length of the string being set is greater than the maximum length specified in the orders storage mapping file.

Remarks

Use Name to help an end user name their addresses. If addresses are stored, this name could be used by an end user to quickly pick the address they wish to set as billing, shipping, and sold to addresses.

Name is trimmed of leading and trailing white space characters before being set.

The default maximum length for Name is 64 characters, as defined in the corresponding table column constraint specified in the default orders storage mapping file, OrderObjectMappings.xml.

If the specified key is not set, then the value returned is nullNothingnullptra null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).
