Configuring the Commerce Server Network

After you consider your requirements and design your deployment architecture, you are ready to implement the deployment. However, before you can physically build the network and deployment, you must gather all the tools and equipment, including the hardware and software that you must have to perform the deployment.

This section provides instructions about how to build a Commerce Server base or enterprise deployment.

To build a network for the base deployment, you perform the following tasks:

1. Prepare the network. For more information, see Preparing the Network for the Base Deployment.

2. Build the base data tier. For more information, see Building the Data Tier.

3. Configure the network settings. For more information, see Configuring Network Settings for the Base Deployment.

4. Configure the network adapters. For more information, see Configuring the Network Adapters.

To build a network for the enterprise deployment, you perform the following tasks:
