The future of shopping?
This video from Cisco is so good in so many ways though a quick reality check with my wife confirmed that she’d much rather try the stuff on and do this to see how it fits, who the fabric feels etc. Me, I’d be much happier with this time saving approach so maybe they should have shot the video using men?
Aside from that, seen any technology that could allow you to do this? Skip to about 2:30 in this video

Didn't Microsoft do something very similar in their home of the future at Disney? My real fear for the future is that I'll get replies like "Just did" to questions addressed at employees- not every store needs an Apple employee. Real future of clothing: Tags with MS Tag or similar next-gen barcode tech so that a user can scan the tag to reveal photos and videos of the item; in the case of clothing this could be used to demonstrate compaitble styles and influences, in IT it could explain features to people less familiar with terminology such as DNLA etc. Small steps... one at a time.Anonymous

I just showed this to the wife and asked if she could see herself shopping like this. She said, "No, I'd feel ridiculous doing that in the shop". "What if you could do it at home" I retorted. "Sure" she said!Anonymous
